Art, Fence Show, New York, Painting, Raul "Rez" Barquet, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Staten Island, Staten Island Museum
Every year the annual Staten Island Museum Fence Show is a great event that brings together artists and art appreciators. This year was the 61st year in the event’s history, keeping up the tradition of New York City’s longest running outdoor art show. Located at the historic Snug Harbor Cultural Center, within close proximity of the Staten Island Ferry; it is a close trip from Manhattan.
Here are some photos of my booth at this years event. I worked on some paintings, sold some work, and met some really cool people. This event cannot come soon enough each year.

If you’re going to be in Philly on the 2nd, then I highly suggest you check out the opening reception for Jean Plough’s latest exhibit. I’ve seen some of the pieces and I find her work very interesting and definitely worth checking out. This show at 3rd Street Gallery will feature abstract landscape paintings, word paintings and diptychs created using oil on linen and acrylic on canvas.
Date: September 2nd, 2011
Location: 3rd Street Gallery, 58 N. 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA
